Patricia Roppel Memorial Scholarship: Tongass Historical Society is proud to announce the establishment of the THS Patricia Roppel Memorial Scholarship at the Alaska Community Foundation. This scholarship is in memory of Patricia โPatโ Roppel, author, historian and Alaskan. Pat served on the THS board, made significant donations of objects, information, time and money and was a supportive member for over fifty years. Her numerous published works about Southeast Alaska spanned various topics ranging from business to salmon hatcheries in the area.
